The nostalgia of Pong just keeps on coming back in a variety of DIY Pong projects we’ve seen recently.  This video game brings augmented reality into the picture by allowing you to control of the ball in real time through a video feed which films the motion of your hands.

The results is “Augmented Pixel” which is essentially governed by one simply rule: “if the ball hits something dark, it bounces off.”  Using an Arduino, synchronization of the video signal is supplied by an LM1881 separator which triggers two interrupts.  The video controller evaluates the brightness of the environment and sends commands accordingly. Build your own using the detailed project instructions.
